What do you use???

Im new to tile cleaning. My machine Frankenstein came into being because I wanted to offer tile and grout cleaning and my perfectly good 20+ year old machine wouldn't create the pressure to do it. I purchased approximately 2500.00 worth of attachments to perform the job now that i have a few jobs under my belt im questioning the quality of the attachments i was sold by my local supplier and I am about to start replacing them. The problem i have, is buying off pictures and what salesmen tell me .i worry that i could be jumping from the frying pan into the fire. This is a service that i don't have much experience in so I'm asking you guy's what are you using day to day to clean tile? what do you like about it? and probably more importantly what do you dislike or would change if you could? I talking about attachments, wands,heads, hand tools etc. Also what do you have that you consider usless and wish you didnt buy? and/or you never use? Also what do you have that you can't do without? Im hopin for some good input im less concerned with price and more concerned with quality and performance. If i jump ship im doing it soon. Please help me make an educated decision. Cleaned tile all day today. 4500 sq ft of a commercial kitchen, party room, bathrooms, hallways.

CRB, th40, and Mike’s tile wand is all you need. And a few different scrub brushes

I have a CRB that we occasionally use, but since it won’t get into corners or under cabinets or along baseboards we seldom use it. We have spinner tools but seldom use those either. All I normally use is Saiger’s tile cleaner, my floor wand from Mike and a Duprey Steamer from Amazon on the grout if it’s stubborn.

Thank you for your input. With your mikeys wand which heads do you have? Did you drill vac relief holes? If so did it make enough difference? Have you used anything else other than a crb to prescrub? Im starting slow and working up to big jobs. Mostly kitckens/laundry rooms and bathrooms. I dont own a small scrubber only a pullman holt 15 or is it 17"industral floor polisher. The few times I've needed to use a small scrubber ive borrowed a friends 13" oreck orbital.

You use the steamer instead of a scrub brush or both? Do you have just one size head for your mikeys wand?

For residential tile floors, most of them don’t need scrubbed. Just treat and rinse with 1000psi

As for the wand, I don’t have vacuum relief. If I need a break I’m vacuum, I just tilt the wand. No big deal

In most instances I find the steamer preferable to a scrub brush in residential settings. Remember, there’s always exceptions. That’s why I keep all the necessary tools on hand. The only thing negative about using a steamer is it slows you down a bit, but I find the difference in cleaning to be worth it. I’ve reached a point in my life/business that I can charge for the additional time. Also, it’s just me and my well trained son in my business, so we can do things with confidence that I’d never trust an employee to do. An employee would destroy my steamer in no time.

We have both the 12 and 14 inch heads but use the 12 on Mikes wand the most.

The 12” is superior over the 14” just because water recovery is better.
