A blown head gasket would generally show coolant in oil. Your thinking of the engine like or acting as a heat exchanger would. Generally a head gasket blows in ir at the cylinder and high pressure gasses enter cooling system and when the engine isn't running coolant enters the cylinder and leaks thru the rings to the oil. You would have check engine light and cylinder misfire codes.you can check for head gasket blown/ cracked block with a simple test where you put a chemical in a tube and put it over the radiator inlet . With it you draw air outa the radiator and if there's any hydrocarbons ( evidence of cylinder leak) the chemical changes color ( from blue to yellow ). But why are you even going there??? Are you having problems or is it the fact that for 2 days now you've had to add coolant and your mind is playing tricks with you?? (Chicken little syndrome)

It's a bit more than my coolant being a touch low for 2 days. I've had a check engine light on for months, went and had it checked out at an excellent mechanic shop and they said there are 4 different codes, and when they cross referenced those codes with my van on the "bulletin" (not sure what that is) they said it is most likely an air intake manifold gasket leak.
The thing is the van runs great, and sounds great, even the ace mechanic verified that. And the guy I bought the van from just had a minor engine rebuild done which included a new camshaft, new head gaskets, new exhaust manifold gasket, and a new air intake manifold gasket, and a few other engine doo-hinkies. He showed me the receipts and I met his mechanic that did it. So, maybe they screwed up on the minor rebuild. Not sure. But my throttle controller shuts down on almost every job now, definitely due to the ECU throwing codes. I've checked all the wires, replaced the brake pedal sensor, and its a new throttle controller.
I don't really feel like paying for someone to do an air intake manifold gasket. I don't even think there's a problem with the dang air intake manifold gasket. But! Whatever, I just keep manually depressing my gas pedal to hit the right rpms for my TM and said the heck with it. Works well enough. I have a sweet manual throttle setup with a reversed wood clamp and an L bracket and a small pair of vise grips.
So, not really a chicken little thing. I'm just trying to pay attention to whatever signs she gives me kind of thing. Because something ain't right. Yet I am happy to operate it as is for another 100k miles if it doesn't get weirder.
