Hi I’m new to this thread does anyone know much about the Probot from magic wand company. The newest version has spray jets on it. Will this machine last along time or with it being inexpensive will it break fast?
Thanks

Are you planning on using it to clean commercial carpet ???

It's too big and too heavy to be using on residential carpet

105 pounds plus water weight

Magic Wand Probot cost $1999 plus tax and shipping

TOPS Phoenix is the BEST OP for cleaning carpet in Commercial Buildings and it costs $4526 no tax, free shipping, from Excellent Supply

If I was you I would wait until I could buy the BEST and not take a chance on a cheap unproven OP. If you need a OP now for Commercial and can't afford a Phoenix take a chance on ProBot.

Email or call Tanoah at Excellent Supply. She is very nice and will do everything possible to help

Ive encouraged TOPS to offer a $2000 +/- starter unit for newbies and those who want to dabble

Make it so they can trade it in if the process works for them and they want better...

That's a great idea

We have two members here Bryce C ( VLM caused white streaks ) and now Carpet Cleaner 1 that need a starter OP for Commercial Carpet Cleaning

I have an Orbot Vibe already, no TOPS yet but will likely give it a go at that price ok $2k. What I really want is a lighter version of the vibe like the Orbot lio Hybrid but I don't want to pay $3200 on it. We have some commercial clients which have us get drink spills and spots in between regular cleanings and a smaller lighter version of the vibe would be perfect for getting in and out.

I can see a cheaper smaller version orbital machine dominating the market if someone could make it profitable. The Oreck Orbital is so popular on forums and group posts but I wouldn't call it commercial grade by a long shot. I have had one die on me and one break at the handle which was unrepairable with the cord going through the molding. Something with a 12"-14" head at under $2k with wheels would crush it in the market IMO. Sometimes I like the CRB machines, sometimes the orbitals, but the orbitals are lacking a smaller commercial option.

After thinking about this more I don't think it's possible for TOPS to make a OP with sprayer for $2000

If they did it would lack the speed and head weight both needed for Commercial Carpet Cleaning

Odyssey is wheels up OP and sells for $2695. It has a 1/2 hp motor with no sprayer

Raptor is a Odyssey with a 1 hp motor and sprayer and sells for $4395

Ranger is a lighter version of Phoenix and sells for $4395

If you want the BEST OP for Commercial Carpet Cleaning your going to need to call Excellent Supply and pay $4526

The oreck is lightweight, affordable, easy to learn and train on versatile and a handy machine but ultimately it has no business being on a professional's truck

What is one supposed to use when you need a quick spill removal without all the bloat of a full orbital machine? How about needing to go upstairs when you need a quick pad or spot clean with fast dry time? We have a 10" or 15" CRB and Vibe along on-board as well but like you mentioned the versatility and ability to use a bonnet of the oreck is clutch in many situations.

I'm planning on getting a TOPS Pheonix when finances permit! I've spent so much the past few months and business is still feast or famine week to week... So I'm saving for the cold months and being as frugal as I can for the rest of the year at this point.

I'm finally advertising with Google Local Service Ads and that is increasing some biz. I have a thousand door hangers I'm going to try out in wealthier town home and condo communities pretty soon now that we have a functioning tm. If that pans out I'll cruise around listening to talks and putting up endless amount of doorhangers.

I'm avoiding approaching commercial customers because I don't want to be a slave to weeknights and weekends. But if they find me I'll always go for it unless it is 3rd shift or stripping and waxing. That's the best plan I have at the moment.

Hard to say without seeing reviews on this machine. Unfortunately there aren't many of them out there yet. Because of its size it seems it would be a better fit for Commercial but knowing the electrical supply of of hallways I wander what the amp draw is.

We are in a different day and age from when all of you established your carpet cleaning businesses. So aside from the needed character qualities, what works and doesn't work has changed a lot, at least with advertising. It seems like Google and Facebook are king. What I hear and the general sense I get is that Facebook ads work better for splash and dash outfits since people have a low intent of buying (they aren't there looking for our services) on that platform and premium prices are too much. Whereas Google is a better avenue for premium cleaners since people are already looking for your exact service, and more likely to pay a premium price when they see you.
