Agree or disagree JD tried hard to give top tier service phone, in store and education.

If sales slowed down, reduce the load a bit but continue it instead of dismantling dissolving it.

I have given a great deal of thought to the end of JonDon, at least as we've known them.

The fact is, I might not be in business now if JonDon hadn't been my competitor:

To compete with JonDon, I needed to have free shipping for orders of a certain size. For a while, I tried to make it just chemicals, but they included a number of other parts and accessories, so I did it too.

I also needed to get orders out the same day, even if they were called in later in the afternoon. When it came to equipment sales, their sales people knew the product, and were not just aggressive in closing the sale, but they also had terrific after sale service.

And, at the time, my people had to be great on the phone, or I needed to field the calls myself.

Their trainers were the industry's best as well.

So I think that over the decades that I competed with them, they made me be my best at customer service, product availability and delivery, sales ability, and after sales service.

To be fair, all of the above statements are made about the Original "Nick and Jon" JonDon.

Today other people keep me on my toes, but to this day, the one person who is the biggest problem to my business remains.....

....me.

When I get past all of the roadblocks that that ugly aging mug that looks back at me in the mirror each day, I'll worry about "the other guy"

Still, the best "other guy" I have ever competed with, was JonDon.

Let’s be clear as to who has not paid the bills, depleted the winnings then sold. (Imo) Hedge fund no#1 that bought from Nick. Then, hedgefund #1 sold to hedge fund #2 Aramsco which is owned by hedgefund. Aramsco is a chinese company. The name JonDon unfortunately looks like the bandit that stiffed the vendors.

Buy from small vendors and distributors.

Always the humble and introspective man, Jim.

I have no doubt you will step up and do your best to fill the void with integrity. I know the loss is in a way your gain….but you’re not the kind of man who wants to gain at the expense of other human’s livelihood. And there were many fine humans at JD

I've never called a JonDon at 3 am PST to discuss morality quandrums with a God fearing atheist..

I was a poor customer..

I attended an SFS in Langhorn and implemented nothing of matter.
I was a piss poor multi-surface trucker.

Bought a few hundred in parts over the years..

Had fun but challenging conversations with Dave Howard, who attended a legendary MF/ MB party in a penthouse suite in Vegas once. He left quite a mark there...

Bill and Steve have been enjoyable industry/ FB friends, and great contributors here for a moment.

Nick was always a hoot at events, where he never failed to greet me in a special way.

They did host a day of MF classes at the St Pete location once but never wanted a full Fest involvement.

I'm very grateful for the huge sum that they contributed here on advertising over the many years. They finally pulled the plug two months ago..

I should have done more for them, but they never asked....

RIP JD.
